Dr. Taylor is a board certified Boston Mass area Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon as well as a fellowship trained Craniomaxillofacial Surgeon, and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
She received her AB degree (Summa cum Laude) from Princeton University and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa national academic honor society.
Dr. Taylor then received a Marshall Scholarship to study at Cambridge University in her native England, where she was a member of Trinity College and earned a PhD in molecular biology and 3D protein chemistry while studying at the MRC laboratory. She then attended Harvard Medical School in Boston. She continued her training in Boston in General Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Harvard's Combined Plastic Surgery Residency. She was a Fellow in Craniomaxillofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery at The University of Toronto's Sick Kids Hospital where she was awarded the Student Humanitarian Award for her compassionate care.
Before joining Mount Auburn Hospital, a Harvard teaching hospital in Cambridge, Dr. Taylor was an Associate Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at Brown University, Section Chief of the Division of Craniofacial Surgery, and Co-Director of The Cleft and Craniofacial Center. Dr. Taylor is the recipient of many awards in plastic surgery, research, and education. Through research and patient care, she is a pioneer in 3D facial imaging, facial symmetry assessment, and surgical planning. She has been listed among the “best plastic surgeons” by Castle Connolly and honored in Boston magazine Top Docs™. While the title ”Boston’s Best Plastic Surgeon” is claimed by many, she hopes her practice provides an unusually thoughtful and honest approach to patient care.
Dr. Taylor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She has authored book chapters and articles in journals such as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, and Cleft Palate Craniofacial Journal. She enjoys a broad plastic surgery practice, with a special interest in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the face such as, blepharoplasty, facelift and neck lift, craniofacial reconstruction for conditions such as cleft lip and cleft palate and facial trauma, breast surgery such as breast reconstruction for cancer and breast reduction, and body contouring such as tummy tuck and liposuction.
